(In the unlikely case that --recover fails, the data file remains intact.) But the My SQL is still offline. And I'm very sorry, I don't quite understand the second option.
I tried rebooting My SQL with these commands:/etc/init.d/mysql start service mysql restart It's still offline giving this error: ERROR! Are you saying to navigate to "/var/lib/mysql/myserver.pid" and try "# --recover, -r"Thanks for the help.

Description: Scenario: While setting up the mysql cluster in NDB engine , Couple of time the API node went "mysql" service not starting , It seems the below issue was repeating again and again , Error : 1 ERROR! 2017-04-11 9572 [ERROR] NDB: error (1) Configuration error: Error: Could not alloc node id at 10.0.0.4 port 1186: Connection done from wrong host ip 10.0.0.10.
Error : 3 (logs) Configuration error: Error: Could not alloc node id at 10.0.0.4 port 1186: Connection done from wrong host ip 10.0.0.10.
There are few reason, why you get this error message.
I had this in my.cnf: lc_messages_dir = /usr/share/mysql When I commented that out, My SQL started fine.
I still don't know what it is with that dir that it doesn't like.
Please forgive my lack of understanding, I'm very novice.
